Vaccine Contamination: Pig Virus DNA Found in Rotarix

by Barbara Loe Fisher

On March 22, 2010, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials adhering to the precautionary principle advised American doctors to suspend use of Rotarix 1 vaccine until the agency finds out why DNA from a swine virus (porcine circovirus 1 or PCV1) was found in the live rotavirus vaccine. The FDA said there is “no evidence at this time” that the vaccine manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline and given to babies at 2,4 and 6 months of age to prevent diarrhea poses any safety risk. 2
Independent Lab Using New Technology Found Contamination

The discovery that viral DNA is contaminating Rotarix vaccine was made by a team of scientists at an independent research lab in San Fransisco, California, where they used new technology to detect fragments of viral genetic material in vaccines using genetic sequencing. 3

  1. My own daughter recieved this recommended vaccine in NSW in 2009 at the recommended 14 weeks. I nearly lost her life 4 times. She now has a diagnosed permanent bowel damage. There is no support or treatment available despite me taking her to GP's, pediatricians and bowel specialists. They simply do not know how to fix the injury. I have been offered "experimental" bowel surgery for her. I want a campaign that informs mothers that immunisation is not compulsary, that their children can still go to school and daycare. I also want the Governemment to get rid of this dangerous vaccine from their recommended "Schedule" which is continuously pushed on tired and uninformed mothers by every health nurse and Doctor from the day the child is born. Meegan Allen (0458250310). I have also read anecdotes of other Australian mothers who's children have had similar "unexplained" bowel conditions following this vaccine. In September 2010 GlaxoSmithKline (the drug company) put a new warning on the vaccine that it is known to increase the risk of fatal bowel disease and bowel abnormalities (such as the documented intersusseption).

  2. I very sorry to hear that anonymous. It is stories like this that compel me to keep this blog updated so hopefully it helps someone from avoiding a tragedy like you have endured.

Have you looked in Homeopathy? They are treating bowel issues very successfully and I highly recommend looking into this type of treatment for your daughter. There is also a great place located in Mexico called the Gerson Institute which successfully treat all kinds of chronic debilitating diseases through nutrition. There is hope for your daughter but it will not be through conventional allopathic methods. It will come through althernative medicine such as Naturopahty and homeopathy.

Good luck and I wish you and your daughter all the best!
